Body
What is body in coffee?
Body is how heavy and textured coffee feels in your mouth, from light and tea-like to thick and syrupy. Oils and tiny particles add body, so unfiltered coffee from a French press or Turkish coffee feels fuller, while paper-filtered coffee such as a V60 feels lighter and cleaner.
Body is not the same as strength. A cup can be strong but light-bodied (a concentrated pour-over) or weak but heavy-bodied. Darker roasts and metal filters usually increase body.
