What is the AeroPress Go Plus?
The AeroPress Go Plus is a travel coffee system announced by AeroPress, Inc. in June 2024. A Tritan AeroPress brews up to 10 oz at a time straight into a 16 oz double-wall, vacuum-insulated stainless steel tumbler, which has a magnetic, splash-resistant lid and a built-in filter holder. The press, scoop and stirrer all pack away inside the tumbler.

Fit a filter
Put a standard AeroPress paper filter in the filter cap and screw it onto the chamber.
Sit it on the tumbler
Stand the chamber on the open tumbler, so you brew straight into it.
Add the coffee
Measure the coffee with the scoop that comes with the Go Plus and add it to the chamber.
Add water and stir
Pour in hot water to the marks on the chamber, no more than 10 oz, and stir with the stirrer.
Press
Put the plunger in and press down slowly and steadily into the tumbler.
Lid on and go
Top up with hot water if you like, close the magnetic lid and take it with you.
The AeroPress Go Plus is the AeroPress as a complete travel kit. A Tritan press brews straight into a 16 oz double-wall, vacuum-insulated stainless steel tumbler, which has a magnetic, splash-resistant lid, holds your filters and fits a car cup holder. AeroPress, Inc. announced it in June 2024. Here’s how to use it, what fits and how it compares with the AeroPress Go.
The short version
- A travel AeroPress that brews into its own insulated tumbler.
- Brews up to 10 oz at a time; the tumbler holds up to 16 oz.
- The tumbler is 18/8 stainless steel, double-wall and vacuum-insulated, with a magnetic lid and a built-in filter holder.
- Comes with a scoop, a stirrer and paper filters.
- Announced 3 June 2024 at $79.95 in the US.
How is the Go Plus different from the Go?
Both brew the same way as every AeroPress: steep the coffee, then press it through a filter. The difference is what you brew into and carry:
| AeroPress Go Plus | AeroPress Go | |
|---|---|---|
| Brews at once | Up to 10 oz | Up to 8 oz (237 ml) |
| Brews into | 16 oz insulated stainless steel tumbler | 15 oz (444 ml) plastic mug |
| Lid | Magnetic, splash-resistant | Lid included |
| Filter storage | Built into the tumbler | Separate filter holder |
| Fits a cup holder | Yes | Not stated by AeroPress |
| Scoop | Included | Included |
What comes in the box?
According to AeroPress and its retailers, the Go Plus comes with:
- A Tritan AeroPress: chamber, plunger and filter cap
- A 16 oz tumbler in double-wall, vacuum-insulated 18/8 stainless steel, with a magnetic, splash-resistant lid and a built-in filter holder
- A scoop for measuring the coffee
- A stirrer
- Paper filters (the count can differ between retailers, so check the listing)
AeroPress sells it in black, cream and pink.
Will other AeroPress models fit the tumbler?
No. AeroPress says the Original, Clear, Premium and Go won’t pack into the Go Plus tumbler. To make the tumbler fit a cup holder, the Go Plus press has a narrower plunger rim, and its chamber has two changes at the bottom so it snaps securely into the tumbler.
What filters does the Go Plus use?
Standard AeroPress paper filters, the same size as the Original, Clear and Go. XL filters are too big. AeroPress says its standard-size stainless steel filter also works with the Go Plus.
What grind size should I use?
Around medium-fine, the same as any AeroPress. Grind finer if it’s sour and thin, coarser if it’s bitter or hard to press.
How do you use the AeroPress Go Plus, step by step?
- Unpack it. Take the press, scoop and stirrer out of the tumbler. Your filters are in the tumbler’s built-in holder.
- Fit a paper filter in the cap and screw it onto the chamber.
- Stand the chamber on the open tumbler.
- Add the coffee, measured with the scoop.
- Pour in hot water to the marks, no more than 10 oz, and stir.
- Press slowly and steadily into the tumbler.
- Top up if you like, close the magnetic lid and go.
The tumbler holds 16 oz, so you can press twice to fill it. For recipes and technique, see the main AeroPress guide.
How do you clean the Go Plus?
Unscrew the filter cap over the bin and push the plunger through to pop out the used coffee and filter, then rinse the press. Wash the tumbler and lid as the instructions that came with yours say, and let everything dry before you pack it away.
General guidance only. Always follow the instructions that come with your AeroPress.
When did the AeroPress Go Plus come out?
AeroPress, Inc. announced the Go Plus on 3 June 2024, timed for Father’s Day and summer travel, at a US retail price of $79.95. It was the first AeroPress product to carry the company’s new “Press for Better Coffee” branding, which appears on the tumbler.
Should I buy the Go Plus?
- Buy the Go Plus if you drink your coffee on the move and want it to stay hot, in a tumbler that fits a cup holder.
- Buy the Go if you want the lightest, simplest travel kit.
- Buy the Original or Clear if it’ll mostly live at home.
More on choosing in the AeroPress kit guide.

- AeroPress Original: the classic at home, with no mug or tumbler.
- AeroPress XL: for brewing 2–4 cups at once rather than on the move.
