Iced and blended
Cold coffee drinks are made in many ways: hot coffee poured over ice, espresso shaken with ice, instant coffee shaken or whipped into a foam, or strong coffee mixed with sweetened condensed milk and ice. This chapter collects them; slow cold-brewing methods live in the methods chapter on cold coffee.
What is the difference between iced coffee and cold brew?
Iced coffee is usually brewed hot and then chilled or poured over ice, so it is ready in minutes. Cold brew is a brewing method: ground coffee steeps in cold water for many hours. Iced drinks such as the frappé or freddo espresso are made quickly from instant coffee or espresso.
