Coffee cocktails
Coffee and spirits have long been drunk together: a dash of grappa in an Italian caffè corretto, brandy or rum in a Spanish carajillo, Irish whiskey under cream in an Irish coffee. This chapter covers the classic coffee cocktails. Please drink responsibly; these are for adults only.
What is a coffee cocktail?
A coffee cocktail is a drink that combines coffee with alcohol, usually a spirit or liqueur. Some are simple, like a caffè corretto (espresso with a dash of grappa or another spirit); others are mixed drinks, like the Irish coffee or the espresso martini.
