Coffee
Origins, varieties, processing and roasts: the coffee itself.
What makes one coffee taste different from another?
Species, origin, processing and roast. Arabica is sweeter and brighter, robusta more bitter with about twice the caffeine; washed processing gives clean, acidity-led cups and natural processing fruitier, heavier ones. Arabica made up 52.8% of the world’s coffee in 2025/26, the USDA says.
